The client sought a visual style inspired by the Journalist and YouTuber Johnny Harris, with a touch of Vox, to tell a compelling story: the conflict in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo between M23 rebels and the DRC’s armed forces. It’s a war with deep, complex roots, some stretching back to the Rwandan genocide, and it’s being fuelled further by global demand for minerals like cobalt and coltan.
